Enterprise zachrání posádku neregistrované nákladní lodi – svérázného vesmírného dobrodruha a tři nádherné ženy, které byly určeny jako manželky pro osadníky na vzdálené planetě. Tyto ženy se záhy stanou středem pozornosti posádky Enterprise, nebo přesněji, její mužské části. Brzy se však ukáže, že fyzická krása může být velmi klamná záležitost.
